It's Time

Now I'm not suggesting we all gather around and sing a rousing song, but it was pretty good for its time (pardon the pun)

Is there any truth to the rumour that you've had meetings with
***Thom Yorke***
to get Radiohead to headline the It'sOneMoreTimeTwoThreeFour campaign launch concert long weekend?

And that you personally are gonna cover this song?

If so, I gotta hand it to ya, youse guys are coming up with killer post-Centenary House fund-raising ideas.

Nice one putting Xavier, or so I hear, on the bill, so those Gen Z'rs don't start whinging they were ripped off buying tix when they confused your name with his. Now that's equity marketting.

You getting JBT for the RootsForRudd stage?

Might I suggest you have an all ages stage too, you should quarantine the kiddies from seeing just how much piss an ALP faithful do can sink.

JETski, I'veGotButterflies Effect, and LightOnTheHillTop Hoods would be a good bill for the "Kiddies of the Faithful" demographic. Ask Marcus what he thinks.

Where you gonna hold it, just up the road from you and wayne's old Eumundi stomping ground at the Woodford Folk Festival site?

If so, I can get onto 20,000 watts of lights and 2 kilometres of tagged and tested leads, and I know where all the power points are buried. Book the GoogleEarth high resolution piccie plane. Tess'll be good for it won't she?

Eumundi brewery can put up a special batch for the show, but you better get 'em on to it quick smart, it's not a huge outfit, and that's a big beer order.

*Note, I'm refraining from neo-religio digs about being able to change water into beer.

I once reminded Bob Hawke, at a Woodford Poet's Breakfast show he was on panel of, about how the ACTU used to do SOLO petrol, and asked him why they didn't go the whole hog and get into the beer market with, say, a boutique ALP Lite&Bitter. He said that at the time it would have been perceived as a conflict of interest. Go figure.

PS Are you a real RH fan or is it just that the first lyrics of that song speak to you?

PPS Waddya reckon, he's driving a VOX head and bin rig in that clip? Rickie an Tele- YaYa's, you're into RnR-GearPorn aren't you? You a collector too? Have you got to bang on anything from ANZ Macfarlane's lot, you lucky b'tard.

More of a later RH fan(the Floydian and post-Floydian phases, as opposed to the post-punk grungebomb phase), although I have to hand it to Thom for not getting fried when he dived into the pool. Jonny was close to dropping his kit in the swill.

You have a tremendous view of the Earth from Google Goodta, and I suggest you use it for the wise education of humanity everywhere.

You could be very much on to something here though - a naughties Sunbury wrapped in techno, tied into policy. I imagine a goodly bunch of JJJ types would land their time and gear for nothing if not the saving of Australia from the conservative ideologues.

I'll talk to my people.

I thought that's what this list is for.
